SOLAR SYSTEMS SAVE MONEY
In calculating the pay-back period, and thus the return on investment, of any solar system we must factor in the available GOVERNMENT INCENTIVES. At this time, the funds provided by the ARRA stimulus program for rebates have been expended. This does not mean that VI customers have to bear the full cost burden of solar and wind installations. Businesses and residents can take advantage of grant and loan programs administered by the VI Energy Office. Information on the most recent incentive programs can be found HERE, as well. Alternative energy expenses qualify for 30% tax credits. All incentives, both Local and Federal, should be verified by your accountant.
